The ESM Powerdyne Supercharger Rebuild Services include the replacement of 4 bearings and a drive belt. There are two grades of bearings offered for the impellor, Quality and High Output. The Quality Complete Supercharger Rebuild Service includes the installation of four ball bearings chosen for their durability and cost. The High Performance Complete Supercharger Rebuild Service includes the installation of two Super Precision Ball Bearings on the supercharger pulley shaft and two 40,000 RPM ball bearings on the impellor. Chosen for their extreme performance capabilities. See manufactures detailed specifications on the QUOTATION sheet. There are two choices for the impellor bearings. Both Super Precision Ball Bearings. The Quality bearing is rated at 31,900 RPM. The High Output bearing is rated at 40,000 RPM and adds $300.00 to the price.

The same top quality Kevlar Drive Belt is used with either the Quality or High Output Powerdyne Supercharger Rebuild Service. Our belt is wider and 40-60% stronger than a HTD belt, manufactured for this application. The following two pictures show our belt being compared to a common HTD belt.

The common HTD belt is shown on the left. The belt we use is shown on the right. It has greater strength and durability than the HTD.

If the impellor crashed into the supercharger housing, we may be able to debur it and rebalance it to bring it back into service. Check out the impellor balance sheet for precision balancing specifications. Balancing the damaged impellor and shaft is part of our centrifical supercharger Rescue and Repair Services. Upon inspection, our Shop Foreman will determine whether the damaged supercharger is a candidate for Rescue and Repair or not. Many can be saved but, some will have more damage than can be overcome. Let us assist you in determining a course of action. A replacement supercharger will be very expensive and we can give you a repair service price quote to help you make your best next decision. This impellor was damaged extensively and was saved by our Rescue and Repair Services. It required precision balancing in order to be used again. Usually the balancing is achieved by removing small amounts of material from the hub of the impellor as shown in the zoomed in image. Even the treads took a beating when this supercharger's impellor crashed into the housing. This shaft was repaired and is in now back in service.
