ESM GM Series 3800 Generation 3 Ported Competition Supercharger, Patent pending
We make a GEN III perform as well as a ported GEN V. This supercharger is built for competition and will put out over 18 pounds of boost on a modified motor. Send us your GEN III in good condition and we will send it back with substantial performance gains. Our $550.00 option is the best bang for the Buck. The ESM ported supercharger will give you an extra edge. See the features listed below. An excerpt from a satisfied customer’s e-mail is included at the bottom. The motor in this application has ported heads, an aftermarket cam and headers. He has a GEN III supercharger with coated rotors, an ESM port job, and a turned-down Snout for a 2.6” supercharger pulley.
Features:
Coated Rotors and Rebuilt Rotor Assembly
Our Patent Pending Rotor Coating process leaves the concave part of the rotor flutes with 3 times the thickness of coating as the outside rotor diameter. This means there is less gap between the rotors for the air to leak through. The outside rotor diameter only has .002 to .0035 of coating. This part of the coating is thinner so that the rotors do not rub the case. The rotor assembly is rebuilt, patent pending, with brand name, class 3 bearings and Viton seals. These quality bearings and seals will last a long time.
Coated Case
Our Case Coating reduces heat-building friction by giving the air a slicker surface to slide over. This coating also reduces the case diameter, there by allowing less gap for the air to leak through. A case with light scratches or rough finish would benefit greatly from this service.
Machined Snout (a.k.a. Nose Cone)
The Snout front is machined to accept pulleys down to a 2.6 diameter. This will allow you to run a smaller pulley for more boost.
Upgraded Snout Retaining Clip
The Snout seal retaining Rotor Clip replaces the factory wire retaining ring. The Rotor Clip cannot be pushed out under high boost because it seats better in the retaining ring groove and against the Snout Seal.
Replaced Seals
The Snout seal is replaced with a Nitrile seal. Rotor seals are upgraded to Viton seals.
Ported Supercharger Inlet and Outlet
The Throttle Body opening of 72 mm, which is the air inlet that feeds the rotors, is machined to ESM performance porting specifications. The supercharger outlet is machined to ESM performance porting specifications. This porting increases the volume of air the rotors move with each rotation.
Ported Rotor Bearing Plate
The Rotor Bearing Plate is machined to bleed off compression where the rotors overlap in the center. This area on the original rotor bearing plate did not allow the air that was squeezed by the rotor flutes to bleed off. This means it keeps being compressed over and over. With this modification, it now bleeds off into the outlet side of the supercharger, reducing drag, requiring less supercharger drive horsepower.

Customer comments:
"I appreciate your offer for a pulley setup, but I already have two! By the way - I swapped 2.6 pulley for 3.0 the other day (7.0" crank) and boost went from 18+ to 14-15 with full pedal run no ping. I am always willing to help support a good product, and I am sure we can find a way to work something out. Let's just wait and see how helpful I can be."
