Rotor Stripping Service is the complete chemical removal of debris from the rotors. We prepare the rotors' sealing surfaces for the ESM Rotor Coatings about to be applied. Materials removed include powder coat, paint, supercharger oil, bearing grease, Carbon buildup and more. This ESM Service is only offered to make sure the Rotors are prepared properly for coatings and is only available with our Rotor Coating Services. There is no performance advantage to simply stripping the Rotors and if done improperly can lead to unnecessary catastrophic supercharger failure. Chipped coatings must be fixed in order to maintain the proper clearences between rotor sealing surfaces and keep the blower at optimum operating status.

You can have us replace the snout front seal with a Premium Viton double-lip spring seal for an excellent performance upgrade. This is especially important if you plan to run higher boost levels with your supercharger because the Viton seal can handle higher pressure and has a longer life than a standard seal. This parts-upgrade option is available with any of the Rebuild Services and can also be purchased in various rebuild kits. ADD-ON to any Rebuild Service. Also sold separately.

We use high-quality replacement components that are most often an upgrade from the worn original components we are replacing. If the supercharger has it's major components damaged beyond normal wear of it's coupler, bearings and seals, then you may also need our custom ESM Rescue & Repair Services for those extreme cases where the supercharger is severely damaged. Roots-type Supercharger Rebuild Services for All Eaton Superchargers

To answer your questions; Yes we re-coat all Eaton rotors. Yes, we are aware of the black coating on the Gen5 Eatons. It is a rubbery interference fit coating that wears in over time to establish the correct clearences for the rotors and case. Our coating is different than this. Ours is similar to the coating applied to piston skirts. We will recommend you keep the black coating if it is in good enough shape that the rotor timing can be set properly.

When we are preparing your supercharger for the coating process, we check the assembled supercharger's clearences first. Then we coat to achieve the correct clearences with our multi-layered dual coating process. After the rotors are coated, during reassembly, the rotors are set to optimum clearences related to your case. We can rebuild part or all of the supercharger, depending upon what is needed to bring it back to operating status. The rotor assembly will need to be rebuilt in order to coat the rotors.
